5 Pinterest Accounts You Need To Follow Right Now

Thursday 14 January 2016

I have to say, I am pretty damn obsessed with Pinterest right now. One of the first things that I do when I visit a blog, after reading the post, is check out the blogger's pinterest account. (So make sure yours is accessible incase I check out your blog!) I've picked out my favourites out of the accounts that I've followed recently and organised them into five different categories so that you can choose which you'd like the best.

From 'accessorising' to sultry women, Molly Lyon's pinterest account holds many different boards that are packed full of hundreds of various pins, with the majority holding over 150. Some of my personal favourites of hers, are her 'Beautiful Photography' board, her 'All the Shoes' board and lastly her unique 'Say It' board, which is full of inspirational quotes.

I discovered Heather's pinterest after I was looking at who another person was following, so I could find some new people to follow. (Anyone else do that, or just me?) However, I was already following Heather's blog and so I was aware of her amazing photography skills, which lead me to checking out her pinterest account. Filled with enough marble, rose gold and perfect flatlay's for about a hundred bloggers, Heather has a really similar taste in high-end beauty and homeware that lots of others are into right now so she is definitely worth checking out. Plus, she is edging towards 500 followers on there, so help a gal out?

Obviously the founder of a gorgeous, boutique style online homeware store is gonna have a gorgeous pinterest feed right? Correctamundo. Abby (aka the owner of Lily Rose Co) is just on another level when it comes to #interiorgoals. With over 100 boards to gaze through, I could spend hours looking through her feed, from the many a DIY's right to the greenery. She really does have the eye for design, so if you're looking to redecorate a room or two then I'd highly recommend checking Abby out.

When you see my pinterest, beauty just seems like the simplest topic you could learn about as I just kind of stick all together in one board and hope for the best. But that's when Ellie steps in, catering for all whether you want to look at long hair, short hair, simple makeup or bold makeup, eyeliner or nail art - just know you're sure to find something that takes your fancy on Ellie's account!

Lastly, we have the well know Kate of Gh0stparties - or Kate La Vie as she is now known. I'm sure you will have already followed her or at least heard her be mentioned in one of these posts before. But, just in case you haven't, I thought I'd be the 506487512th blogger to mention her again. In as few words as possible, everything she has, I want. Everything she does, I want to do. Everything she pins, I want to repin.

So there you have it, my five favourite pinterest accounts at the moment. If you have pinterest then do be sure to let me know your name or link so that I can have a peak at what you've been pinning recently?

Do you use Pinterest? What are your favourite things to pin?

A Real Cheeky Party from Benefit

Wednesday 23 December 2015

I have to admit, I did have to get my skates on fast and impulse buy the Real Cheeky Party gift set from Benefit in October, after annoyingly missing out last year and being advised by the Benebabes in Debenhams, that it would be gone by early December. Packaged in a green polka dot tin, this palette is very durable and perfect for taking on weekends away if your cheeks are your priority because after all, who doesn't like to take four different options of blush away with them every time they go away, "just incase" of any last minute parties or events? I certainly do, and I know many others that wouldn't say no to that choice either, making this sell out buy from Benefit an ideal Christmas present for a loved one beauty obsessive, if you can get your hands on it that is.

Swatch of the Watt's Up Cream Highlighter

The set, worth over £110, costs £29.50 and contains: the Dandelion brightening face powder, Rockateur proactive face powder, Sugarbomb face powder, the award-winning Hoola bronzing powder and the Coralista face powder. As well as all that, you get a deluxe sample of the Watt's Up soft focus highlighter, a mini of the They're Real Push Up Liner and a mini of the They're Real mascara. Screaming out amazing value, this gift is great for anyone, like me, who hasn't previously tried much from Benefit and would like to try out more from the brand, or even if you would like to try out some of their famous 'Box o' Powders' before splurging out £23.50 for a full size of one.

Although I haven't had chance to try out Watt's Up or the They're Real Push Up liner yet, I have been thoroughly enjoying choosing one of the face powders to use everyday, and I have been changing up which one I use each day quite frequently. However, a stand out favourite of mine so far has been Rockateur as it is the perfect warm shade for this time of year and I have also been really enjoying using Sugarbomb which is the perfect subtle everyday shade that I know will go with any eyeshadow look or lip colour.

L-R: Dandelion, Rockateur, Sugarbomb, Hoola and Coralista.
L-R: Dandelion, Rockateur, Sugarbomb, Hoola and Coralista
Dandelion: a baby pink shade with a fairly cool undertone to it.
.
Rockateur: a warm dusky pink shade that looks like a natural flush from when you have been outside in the cold!

Sugarbomb: a peachy champagne shade with lots of shimmer, making it a great option for if you're in a rush as it can double up as your blush and your highlight.

Hoola: a neutral bronzer that would suit many different skin tones, including the very fair and also deeper olive skin too if built up.

Coralista: a corally pink shade that is perfect for summer and is one of the most pigmented out of them all, so a little goes a long way with this one meaning that it will last you longer.

The set also contains a mini or the They're Real mascara and the They're Real Push Up eyeliner.

I think that it is a nice addition for Benefit to have added a mini eyeliner and mascara to the set this year, as last year you would have received another powder instead of them. Some may preferlast years selection of products but I still think that having these products is a nice little touch to the set, by adding a bit more of a variety of products to the gift set and also meaning that you can try two products which, full size, would cost nearly £20 each so that you don't end up wasting your money on them if you don't end up liking them.

The packaging is a tin that is green with a polka dot pattern and is very durable, making it great for travelling with!

All in all, I think Benefit have done a great job at creating such a good value for money gift set, and although Benefit isn't for everyone as its mainly targeted towards the fun, young kind, I think that even if my Grandma received this for Christmas, then she would really get along with it. And that's with her probably not knowing who Benefit Cosmetics even are. Sold out in most places, if you see this Real Cheeky Party of a palette in store anywhere, then I'd snap it up fast as it is limited edition to this Christmas and there doesn't seem to be many places left with them in stock..
